VSP Announcement

Posted in Announcements, News on July 16, 2019
In April of 1979, Paul Malgee founded Virginia Sealing Products in Hopewell, Virginia. VSP Technologies has since grown into a company with six locations and employees in eleven states. To ensure our continued success and facilitate continued U.S. and international growth, VSP Technologies was recently acquired by Diploma, PLC, a company based in the U.K. which owns and oversees numerous niche companies in three primary market sectors: Controls, Life Sciences, and Seals. VSP will be part of the global Seals market sector. Following is a portion of Diploma's internal announcement of this acquisition:
VSP is a leading supplier of high-quality gaskets and fluid sealing products, as well as customized solutions, to the industrial MRO market (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul). The business specializes in customers process and and transporting hazardous and corrosive materials along with those in other industrial markets, including power generation, pulp and paper and marine. VSP is built on strong, long-standing customer and supplier relationships supported by value-add servicing. The business is based in Virginia, with operations throughout the southern United States.

The business has an excellent management team, a strong service culture and an impressive customer and supplier base. Following the acquisition, we are delighted that the Executive management team will remain with the business in their current roles. The business will also retain its brand, heritage and culture, in keeping with the Diploma decentralized management model. VSP will become part of the Seals Sector.
These are exciting times for VSP as we continue our growth and focus on providing the best value and performance fluid sealing products and programs for the Transportation, Industrial and Marine markets in the U.S. and abroad.

Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
