Chief Financial Officer – Virginia

As CFO, you will be a key leader driving financial strategy, operational efficiency, and business growth. Reporting to the President, you will oversee finance, accounting, reporting, and internal controls while ensuring strategic alignment and high-performance financial management. This role will work closely with sales, operations, and the wider leadership team to provide analysis and strategic input into commercial decisions.

Essential Functions

  • Lead financial planning, reporting, and analysis.
  • Oversee ERP implementation and financial process improvements.
  • Support M&A initiatives, financial due diligence, and integration.
  • Ensure compliance, risk management, and internal controls.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing finance and IT team.

Required Experience / Education

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting; MBA and/or CPA/CMA/CFA preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years in financial leadership, including CFO/VP Finance roles in manufacturing/distribution.
  • Expertise: Strong operational finance background, ERP implementation, and financial controls.
  • Skills: Strategic thinker with excellent communication, relationship-building, and commercial acumen.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to drive continuous improvement, manage change, and oversee complex projects.
  • Work Style: Hands-on, analytical, adaptable, and effective in a lean, team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility: Ability to balance in-depth financial detail with big-picture strategy; remote and on-site work capability.
