ASME PCC-1
VSP offers comprehensive in person training programs designed to align with ASME PCC‑1 standards, ensuring crews are equipped with the knowledge and skills required for safe, reliable bolted‑flange assembly. Our training covers best practices, proper tool use, procedural compliance, and hands‑on instruction that reinforces real‑world application. The following trainings are available to help facilities elevate crew competency, improve joint integrity, and maintain consistent PCC‑1 adherence across operations.
LEVEL 1 ASSISTANT BOLTING ASSEMBLER Covers bolting-related materials appropriate for anyone on an industrial worksite, who may come into contact with flanges or bolting equipment.
LEVEL 2 BOLTING ASSEMBLER Covers material appropriate for any staff working directly with flanges, including assemblers or other staff responsible for torqueing or tensioning. Based on PCC-1 Appendix A, Section A-1.3.1.
LEVEL 3 SUPERVISORS & INSPECTORS Covers material appropriate for supervisors, managers, inspectors, or anyone overseeing others’ work or assessing quality (QA/QC). Includes Powered Equipment Endorsement. Based on PCC-1 Appendix A, Section A-1.3.2.
LEVEL 4 SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT (SME) Covers material appropriate for those responsible for directing a bolting program or writing assembly-related practices and procedures. Based on PCC-1 Appendix A, Section A-1.3.3 and A-1.3.4.
POWERED EQUIPMENT Provides a thorough understanding of joint assembly, disassembly, and tightening using hydraulic or pneumatic equipment. Based on PCC-1 Appendix A, Section A-1.3.6.
HEAT EXCHANGERS Provides a thorough understanding of the assembly, disassembly and tightening of exchanger joints. Based on PCC-1 Appendix A Section A-2.3.3.
