Account Specialist – Prince George, VA

The Account Specialist is assigned to the Inside Sales Department and is responsible for providing effective customer service and account support for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as communicating effectively with team members.

Essential Functions

  • Provide timely and accurate information to customers relative to products, price quotes, order processing, and status updates
  • Develop and maintain a vast knowledge of the products and services being offered
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of VSP technology including, but not limited to, ERP, Salesforce, and internal VSP programs
  • Communicate customer feedback to various teams in order to improve the overall customer experience
  • Coordinate with other departments, including Support Services and Engineering, to satisfy customer questions including product recommendations
  • Manage assigned accounts and provide account management support to the Outside Sales team
  • Clerical duties to include filing, scanning, order dispute reconciliation, and switchboard assistance
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness
  • Project a favorable image of the company to promote, foster, and enhance public recognition of VSP Technologies and our products and services

Required Experience / Education

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience and/or training related to job functions

Preferred Experience / Education

  • 2-4 year college degree preferred in business or related field
  • Customer service experience in manufacturing and/or sales preferred
  • Salesforce experience
